Charles has a wide range of experience during his life from being a lifeguard on beaches to taking kayaks down grade 4 rapids. He has cycled 2,000 kilometres around Turkey, his record being 241 kilometres in one day and slept on the edge of the Zambezi River in Africa with elephants walking around him. He has walked 100 miles through Scotland in mid-winter camping at about 3,000 feet above sea level on the snow each night. Charles, on the health front, still plays competitive squash, he is estimated, if all goes well, to live into his nineties by his doctor. His father built a tennis court in the garden! Finally to encourage your curiosity and interest he has clocked up perhaps 100,000 kilometres of hitch-hiking, which included staying in a house owned by the mafia in Florida and hitch hiking in snow in Canada. His daughters often say when he tells stories… “another adventure we did not know about!” He has won international educational sales competitions including a free trip to Europe and back from Australia.
